I am Jonathan Butler. I am owner of Jonathan Da Lynn apparel. I am writing to give you some information about my clothing line. I have been in business for 3 years. This Spring 09′ season will be
my 5th official release. I release small collection each season that are made with great quality and great execution in my designs. Here is a little information about my company.

The Story: Jonathan Da Lynn started out in high school, I wanted to take a commercial arts course but I could no??t w/ out an art prerequisite. I took a course called Beginning
sculpture and Printmaking. This was where I made my first tee! Once I started, I could not stop! It was so addicting that every project I turned in was a tee. Once all my boys saw my work, they
wanted me to make them tees too. It was my way of standing out from the blooming department store brands ie. Phat Farm, & Roca Wear. Once school was over, I applied to a fashion school but
didnâ??t get accepted. I set out on the hard road to the top by myself. I then joined the military and after long unwanted “vacation” to IRAQ I saw the future of Jonathan Da Lynn and what I wanted to
give back to the masses. I have had several of fitted caps placed on Strictly Fitteds.com.

The Theme: I have a lot of ideas in my head for clothing, but the main focus of the line is military. However, I am heavily inspired by popular art, and world events past, and present.

The Mission: To create thought provoking apparel that has a meaning behind the design and to provide goods that do not sacrifice quality or my direction to follow the trends. Lastly, to push social
boundaries w/ my work! Overall…no over saturation! I will never over produce my line.

You will have a better understanding of each piece if you take a look at my website. Thank you for your time.

  • 50 Hollywood Freeman Feb 22, 2009 at 1:05 pm

Hi i am starting a new website soon its a custom sneakers website and basically what i do is take old jordans and nikes from thrifts stores and turn them into to some new amazing shoes i also work with new shoes too. The website is going to have video of me going to these stores and finding the shoes and also showing you how i make them into something new. I want to show sneaker heads what they can turn old kicks into, and at the same time its kinda eco friendly because your reusing something. If youd like more info or pics id be glad to show you. I will also be selling the shoes i make threw ebay and i was wondering if anyone would be intrested in posting my custom kicks or my website logo on yours somewhere and id put your logo on mine in return. Thanks for your time Email me @ bakeryomind@yahoo.com

  • 53 PUSH Feb 28, 2009 at 12:34 pm

American Terrorist Apparel would love to be featured on deadstockdon.com. We are an independent, start-up streetwear line and we think your readers would like our designs. I attached some pictures of our tees. You can also check out our website, http://www.americanterroristapparel.com.

Just a little bit of a background story about us… We named our brand after Lupe Fiasco’s “American Terrorist” because we think the song is a bold statement about what our country was founded on. We want to take the negative connotation of an “American Terrorist” and turn it into a positive image by using the name to represent the many cultures, religions and people who were once oppressed that now represent the true face of America. Our “Chapter 1″ line is available for purchase on the website now, and our “Chapter 2″ will be released in the next couple of months.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Regards,

    PUSH
    Founder and Creative Director

    What up Don!

We know you would be interested in SpokenThreads, the first-ever limited, invitation-only, clothing network. A percentage of every sale is donated to an organization that goes with the theme of the product. We lurked the Internet hard and found the heads that seemed to appreciate the deep underground. Our new website just dropped and we thought you would be interested in spreading the word. Go scope through the website to learn more about who we are and shout back if you have something to say! Welcome to a new approach.

    Much Respect,

    SpokenThreads

iTsAbEaT - Press Release - First Albumsite - The New Format

    Hello,

My name is Tunc Ak and I love your blog and wish to share with you the launch of my “albumsite” for your consideration to post.
The site is the album, merging the music, the player, the return of the album art, and the distribution, into one entity, the internet.

Take a look and explore (there are hidden features): http://www.tuncak.com
As a general rule to the site, always click the center if you wish to skip intros to advance (and get to the playlist).

Please enjoy and your consideration for any exposure will be a thrill to see and enormously appreciated.
To download album covers: http://www.tuncak.com/itsabeat/albumcover (or click the “It’s A Beat” title in the playlist box)

    Sincerely,
    -Tunc

    P.S.
You can post a widget of any one of the songs that you may like on any site or social network you may belong to, like Facebook, MySpace, etc.
The ability to do so is found to the left of each song on the playlist page: http://www.tuncak.com/itsabeat/
A hidden menu title, “Grab Widget (song name)”, will reveal once scrolled over in this area.
Click the title of the song you like and the widget display will show with a menu where you can select your network to post to.
Consider these to be the 45″ singles of this age. You may use as many widgets as you like and keep posted as long as you like.
    thX

Meister International is a brand with designs and innovations uniquely based in the industry.

Meister creates fine quality watches arranging from plastic to stainless steel timepieces. This versatile, street, and urban brand will be marketing primarily towards the young, hip, and professional crowd. It is crucial that our team generates as much pre-launch buzz as possible in order to most effectively reach our target market. With that said, I wanted to contact you in befitting the idea of pitching a promising press release for Meister Watches in your publication. Your publication typically reaches the urban street subculture demographic; this would be a beneficial opportunity for our team to extend our target market firsthand. Any additional information you could provide regarding your publication statistics would be helpful as well. To explore our company’s site please go to http://www.meisterwatches.com.

    [[Entry]]:

Cranium Fitteds just came out the kitchen after cooking up these hot custom fitteds for those looking to step their fitted game up. Never before seen, the Toronto Huskies goes hard with the Redskins colorway-really ill for the fall season! Another crispy custom is the
    Toronto Bluejays
laid out in the familiar Jordan 8 Aqua colorway except it’s done in Blue Jewel instead of Teal to give it some extra snazz. These 59fifty fitteds are one of a kind done exclusively for Cranium Fitteds so you know they’re the only ones that are carrying ‘em.

On the low sometimes, you be slaying the kid Kanye on the dressing tip. It’s the subtleties of how you mix high fashion pieces with more down-to-earth brands makes you truly a fashionista. Not saying that ‘Ye don’t kill it, it’s just the 2 varying dress techniques are similar but not necessarily congruent. Anyway man. I’m salty you went off the map after the yeezy drop. We wear the same size I know you got another pair of them grey yeezys on deck homie lol! What it is tho? Sell me them shits! Hello, I am writing to announce the release of my highly anticipated graffiti photography book entitled “Fresh Paint NYC”. I am working completely independantly, meaning did all the photography in the book, layout and design, and all the promotion. So if you would be able to do a blog post on your blog I would greatly appreciate it. Below is a description from the back cover of the book as well as links of further interest. It will be released February 28th, 2010.

    Thank You

    http://www.schifferbooks.com/newschiffer/book_template.php?isbn=978-0-7643-3495-5

Over 400 eye-popping photos provide a decade-long tour of graffiti in New York City. Walls, trucks, and subway cars are featured with graffiti by the crews X-Men, KD, TNB, 156, RIS, AOK, TC-5, FAME CITY, COD, XTC, TFP, MCI, IF, DYM, 718, TD4, SMART, TATS CRU, FLY-ID, GFR, AKB, and many more. Because New York City has made a concerted effort to remove graffiti from the city, the images captured here will never be seen again. Walls were repainted and some buildings were demolished, keeping graffiti crews working fast to keep ahead of the trend. The author worked even faster to capture their ephemeral efforts. If you have a fascination with urban life and colorful expression, this book is definitely for you

Black Bobby is a rebel. Raised by a Black Nationalist mom. Groomed and educated by his dad- a lawyer trained in the Jag Corps. Bobby was raised on that DC urrea culture. He loves Go-Go music and Mambo Sauce. He thinks you are a bamma for wearing that. After leaving DC, Bobby went on to attend Tufts University where he was active in many campus orgs and eventually became the school’s president. Pretty good for a jock with bad knees? After college, Bobby and a band of able idealists launched a national nonprofit dedicated to reforming politics by training courageous kids to run for public office. United Leaders- the org- operated in Boston, DC, and SF before closing in 2005. Bobby left UL to finish his Masters in Public Policy at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. After school he worked in management/strategy consulting at an elite firm in Cambridge- kinda like John Legend. Then he quit to write rhymes and preserve this Hip-Hop culture. Been on a mission ever since. Oh, and he organized on the Obama Campaign. Bob love tha kids. You can find him in Miami.

    deadstockDon ::

i know your team are brandologists and influencers in the market AND this is a lebron long shot but ill throw it up.

my brand GesuCristo started on a flight from london to los angeles. my hope was to stop giving excuses to people of why i couldnt give money and help their charity projects. i designed a shirt and donated all the profits. One Shirt, One Cause …. that’s our motto.

    :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
    ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

GesuCristo began in 2008 from a simple concise thought of colliding fashion and charity in every shirt. We craft shirts with the goal of impacting social structures. 100% of our profits will be sent to In Touch Orphanage in St. Marc, Haiti. http://touchstmarchaiti.blogspot.com/

Our initial launch in 2008 focused on Kampala, Uganda and the “Never Again Project.” The founder of the orphanage began this project after observing small children eating from garbage bins. He vowed they would “Never Again” eat from the city garbage. Our small [grassroots] campaign was able to to feed nearly 50 young adults for 6 months.

Our current campaign began the last quarter of 2009 in an attempt to help another friends orphanage in St. Marc, Haiti. Our production team held off pre-Christmas distribution for no other reason than, “we just didn’t feel the timing was right”. 3 weeks later a 7.0 earthquake shook Haiti, and our production team.

We are full steam ahead filling orders from Italy to Australia and garnering incredible support around the United States. We are soon to be heading to England in our continued expansion of One Shirt One Cause. We finished interviews today with local Illinois press and are forging ahead with electronic and online outlets.

Our current samples are in use as we await our next shipment of tshirts. Thank you in advance for your time and hope you will consider covering. We can be found online at :: http://OneShirtOneCause.com or http://GesuCristo.com Due to the response we have had to rebuild our site to handle orders, hence the un_sexiness.

L.A. SKATE PUNKS THE GOAT TO RELEASE ALBUM VIA WEREWOLF HEART RECORDS

The Goat & the Occasional Others is a Los Angeles-based garage band which formed in 2007 by two skateboarders with too much time on their hands and too much creative energy to keep bottled up. Andrew Reynolds (guitar) and Shane Heyl (vox) were quickly joined by their good friends and fellow professional skateboarders Kevin \”Spanky\” Long (guitar) and Beagle Oneism (drums) to create the Goat\’s first record, a vinyl 10\” self-titled EP released in 2008 as a promotional item in very limited quantities by Altamont Apparel Ltd., Reynolds\’ Los Angeles-based skateboard clothing company featuring the band logo and cover artwork designed by the notorious graffiti writer NECKFACE. Soon after this first release, The Goat added award-winning skateboard photographer Atiba Jefferson on keyboards to complete the line up. Through this much sought after release and some energetic and intense early live shows, The Goat quickly established a cult following amongst everyone from their fellow professional skateboarders like Eric Koston and Guy Mariano, to plus-sized porn model Crystal Clear and movie actor Ryan Gosling. Gosling, a musician himself in the band Dead Man\’s Bones, introduced the band to the label Werewolf Heart Records (Gosling\’s label with fellow Dead Man Zach Shields and record producer/ Ima Robot band member Tim Anderson) in Los Angeles, for whom The Goat just finished recording their first full length entitled The Goat Speaks to be released February 9th, 2010.

Werewolf Heart was set up solely for the purpose of releasing records by The Goat, Dead Man\’s Bones and Ima Robot. The Goat has opened for No Age (Sub Pop Records) on tour as the two bands traveled from Los Angeles to SXSW in Austin, Texas on a music and skateboarding tour with the Altamont Apparel skateboard team last March. A tour documentary and magazine feature in The Skateboard Mag were the result of this unique skaterock mashup tour. Additionally, the Goat has been featured in numerous skate and music publications, including Thrasher, Transworld Skateboarding, Rolling Stone Italy, Pitchfork.com and more… Despite all the early accolades, loyal skateboard fans need not fret, the band has no plans of quitting their day jobs anytime soon!

I am writing to you on behalf of LE BOOK, the international reference
to the creative industry. I am working with them to launch their New
York 2010 edition, which is dressed in the provocative and powerful
imagery of artist Robert Mapplethorpe (1946 – 1989).

Robert Mapplethorpe’s body of work has established him as one of the
most important artists of the twentieth century. LE BOOK is honored to
have his work “dress” its publication, continuing a lineage of cover
artists that include Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint Laurent, Vivienne
Westwood, Yohji Yamamoto, Azzedine Alaïa and Stephen Sprouse.

Mapplethorpe is widely recognized as a legendary artist with an
astonishing creative vision. His photographs were known for their
shock value and considered remarkable for their “technical and formal
mastery”. The native New Yorker was influenced by artists such as
Joseph Cornell and Marcel Duchamp, and throughout his career also
experimented with various materials in mixed-media collages.

Veronique Kolasa and Michael Kazam, the founders of LE BOOK, chose
Robert Mapplethorpe for this year’s cover and inside feature art
because, although they have traditionally worked with fashion
designers to dress each year’s issue, this year they felt that times
had changed. There was an opportunity to present the work of one of
the greats — a true source of inspiration on both an artistic and
commercial level. Mapplethorpe was a revolutionary and they wanted to
celebrate that spirit of creativity in photography as his work
    influenced the next two generations.

Contributing to this edition is Giovanni Russo, creative director of No11, the New York-based, full-service boutique creative advertising
and design agency. No11 has worked with a wide range of clients from
Fortune 500 companies to boutique brands including MaxMara, Victoria’s
Secret, L’Oréal, The Gap and Sony.

A true collector’s item, LE BOOK New York 2010 showcases
Mapplethorpe’s unique nude and statuary images influenced by New York
City’s artists, musicians, socialites, flowers, bodybuilders and nude
models. Using both his talent and technique to create his expressive
images, the photographer created a reality of his own.

LE BOOK is extremely pleased to play a part in preserving
Mapplethorpe’s legacy. Although Mapplethorpe’s life was tragically cut
short in 1989 at the age of 42, he also established the not-for-profit
Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation to protect his work and promote causes
he cared about, including efforts made toward furthering the
recognition of photography as an art form.

I hope you can do something this week as
the book is coming out on Friday.

    Thanks,

    Kelley

    Hello hello,

I’m emailing from 405 communications a PR company in London, and we represent some brands that I think you may be interested in. The first brand is Creative Recreation who are an American brand that’s got a lot of hype around them in the US and can boast 14 different types of sneakers. They are a sneaker brand that designs for street wear, sports and casual/dress. They use some really cool fabrics and designs that really tailor to all aspects of your lifestyle. http://www.cre8tiverecreation.com - check it out

The second brand is awesome…seriously one of my personal favourites is Death Before Dishonour. With a cult following, it’s about not taking any shit from ‘the man’ and refusing to pull punches. using experimental garment construction, martial arts, military references and a cheeky little hint of ‘how’s yer father?’ come together to create a wearable ‘in yer face’ style.
Please consider these two brands and let me know what you’re saying….also if u want any more pics or press releases then hola at your girl

    thank you for reading
ps if u have direct email that would be much obliged…cheers

    Farah Beqqada

Gumball 3000 gives you the brand new Super-Hero Sweatshirt …

The Super-Hero Sweatshirt is a key peace in the Gumball Apparel spring/summer collection. The “Wish I was a Baller” theme is a tight range influenced by both Japanese and US street culture, and plays on our skateboarding and obvious automotive “baller” heritage. The “Motor, Superhero and Bug prints” have already become instant favourites and run throughout the range, along with classic US baseball and College inspired cut and sew pieces.

We’ve spent the past couple of years building up the Gumball 3000 streetwear label in the US and are now being stocked in PacSun, however we started by selling in only a small selection of tastemaker stores and have released limited edition collabs with Puma, Fibre Ops, 5&A Dime, Stussy SF, Estate LA and Rogue Status. We’re also working with or have been featured in the likes of Frank 151, Complex, Hypebeast and Vapors magazines – hosting photo, art, drift racing and skate events; supporting people within environment and cultures that we love.

Take a look at the 2010 Spring/Summer Gumball 3000 streetwear look book for a “taster” of the new line: http://www.gumball3000.com/apparel/lookbook/

I hope you like the stuff – its been designed and developed with grease, glamour and guts here in West London!

    Hey,

I came across your site Just don It. a few days ago and thought you and your readers might be interested in a great opportunity.

Sony Ericsson is giving one lucky person the chance to become a runner on the next series of Pocket TV that starts in April. It’s a paid job based in London until July! The last series included some top artists including Florence And The Machine and Paloma Faith and would be a great experience for someone wanting to get involved in television! Check out the video on how to apply here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4Gl7Ex3dfI, and for more information go to http://facebook.com/pockettvshow. It would be great if you could share the video with your readers on your site!

Thanks so much! And if you decide to share the video let me know and I’ll keep you up to date with the latest videos from the new series!

    Dear Just Don It,

We regularly read your blog and are impressed with the work that you
do. You guys are always spot on with trends and find some very cool
stuff that we love to wear.

We are interested in the fashion world as well. We have recently
created Strapped Up, a new company dedicated to the production of new
and creative waistwear. The Strapped Up team got tired of the same
black and brown belts and decided to create an alternative that is
    eye-catching and original.

The name Strapped Up refers to the belt around your waist. Common
slang today uses the term to refer to having a gun. We have included a
squirt gun with the belt so that you can get Strapped Up. Yeah, its a
little nerdy, but as a customer, you know you’re going to play with it
when you get your belt. It also sets our belt apart from others when
you are looking at a rack of boring belts.
The Strapped Up team has experience in the clothing industry, creating
Original Vagabound, a t-shirt company that was successful in the
clothing boutiques in the Detroit-Metro Area.

We, Jeff Rogers, John Rogers, and Matt Wagoner are all students. Jeff
is currently a student at Detroit Country Day High School and will
attend Northwestern University, John attends Northwestern University
and Matt attends Duke University. We sell Strapped Up products on our
respective campuses, online at http://www.strappedupwaistwear.com/, at
a growing number of stores including Caruso Caruso in Birmingham, MI,
and Modern Skate and Surf at their locations in the Detroit Metro
Area. Karmaloop.com has also agreed to start carrying our belts in
    the spring.

We would be thrilled if you would do a small feature on our belts. We
are an up-and-coming company and we truly believe in our product. We
would be happy to send you some samples of our product and would
appreciate it if you would check our belts out
    athttp://www.strappedupwaistwear.com/.

    GET STRAPPED UP!

    John, Jeff and Matt
